Dear Sanibel School Families,

We are excited to welcome you to The Sanibel School as we look forward to a great 2018-19 school year.

I urge you to take a few minutes when you get an opportunity and introduce yourself, as I am sure you will be impressed.

This purpose of this letter is to familiarize you with The Kids’ Sake program which started over twelve years ago in an effort to raise additional funding that benefits our students and teachers. This program run by PTA relies on our school families and the Sanibel & Captiva community to provide funding for additional technology, staff training, learning resources, and the many classroom needs at our school. The Sanibel School Fund remains focused on raising funds in order to provide the foreign language program for The Sanibel School, and last year raised over $80,000, allowing us to maintain our National Blue Ribbon status.

We are pleased to announce that the SSF and PTA are streamlining the school's fundraising efforts for the upcoming year. SSF & the PTA working together "For Kids’ Sake" will conduct four main projects each year: (1) PTA online monthly giving (Razoo), (2) the Fall Annual Appeal, (3) The Seahorse Festival, and (4) The Blue Ribbon Golf Classic. To maximize your support, we are offering recognition/sponsorship levels that allow you to give once and support the event of your choice, or all four events.

Along with the PTA monthly giving program and the Seahorse festival, the PTA will continue to sponsor yearly events such as a Welcome Back Breakfast, Family Fun Night, Fall Fest and an Evening Benefit. We need your involvement to ensure that our school is a place where your students thrive and parents have opportunities feel part of our school community. We believe that it takes a strong school to have a strong community and vice-versa.

Please make the time to attend a school event and a PTA or SSF fund raising meeting throughout the year. You won’t be disappointed!

We look forward to meeting and working with you this school year. Please check the school calendar and the Monday Reporter for meeting and event dates and times.
