Dr. Thomas MillinsPrincipal: Dr. Thomas Millins

Dr. Millins just celebrated his 27th year in the School District of Lee County. For the past 22 years, he has been a school-based administrator at numerous schools including the principal at North Ft. Myers Academy for the Arts (K-8), Pine Island Elementary, and Edgewood Academy. During his tenures at these schools, he has been exposed to all facets of administration, including but not limited to evaluations, facilities, budgets, staffing, ESE/ESOL coordinator, transportation, safety and security, and other assigned administrative duties. These experiences have enabled him to cultivate his leadership knowledge at the school level. At the district level, he has had the opportunity to work on various district committees, including the District’s Code of Conduct, District Advisory Council, Sterling Quality, and Safety Committees. He has also worked as a Staff Development Site Coordinator, Crisis Prevention Instructor, and on several district grant committees. In addition to his experiences at the school and district level, he has also worked at Nova Southeastern University as an Internship Coordinator working with Master's Level students completing their 300 hours in educational leadership responsibilities at their unique school site. Dr. Millins’ experiences at a K-8 school, a barrier island school,  the district and collegiate levels will provide excellent opportunities for the students he serves at The Sanibel School. His mission is very clear!  One school, one community equals one TEAM!!!
