End- of -Year- Activities

As the school year draws to a close, we want to keep you informed about end- of- year- activities. Because of the pandemic, the school district has asked all schools to adhere to similar protocols, so many of our typical activities will be different for this year. Here are the activities that are planned at this time:

All library books due and chromebook collection began- Friday, May 28th

Early dismissal days (12:10 PM)- June 15th- 17th (Last day of school is on June 17th)

In addition, your child’s teacher may plan additional classroom activities for the last week of school. Please be in touch with your child’s teacher for this.

Report Cards

End of the year report cards will be sent home with all elementary students on the last day of school, June 17th. Middle school report cards will be mailed home.

Mobile COVID Unit Cancelled

The Mobile COVID vaccination unit has unfortunately been cancelled and will NOT be here on Tuesday, June 8th. We hope to have it rescheduled for August or Sept

SAC Meeting on Tuesday, June 8th

Our final SAC meeting will be on Tuesday at 2:30 PM via zoom. All are welcome to attend. Please call Cozetta Kelly if you have any questions.

All Library Books Due to Media Center

Please return all library books to school as soon as possible. Students who fail to return school materials will not be able to participate in end of the year activities (talent show, etc.) until items are either returned to school or paid for.

End of Year Chromebook Collection

The District has mandated that ALL chromebooks be returned to the school for physical inventory by the end of the school year which is June 17th.   This includes all chromebooks, sleeves and chargers.  There are no exceptions to this requirement.   If your student is attending school in person, the devices will be collected during normal classroom hours.  Your student’s teacher will communicate expectations for return.  If your student is attending school via Home Connect, the devices must be returned no later than Friday June 18th. If you are Home Connect, please send Soo Christoff (soosc@leeschools.net) a message with the date and approximate time you will be returning HC devices.  Please also indicate if your students will need chromebooks for summer school.

All chromebooks and chargers must be returned with bar code identification attached.  Sleeves must have your student’s name visible through the clear plastic sleeve pocket.

If your student is signed up and attending a summer program, a different chromebook will be assigned for the summer upon return of the current one in use.  Your student must be signed up for summer school before devices will be issued. Failure to return chromebooks, chargers and/or sleeves in a timely manner will result in loss of participation in school end of year activities.  Failure to return any device by June 17th will result in fee assessments.  Thank you for your understanding.

No student will be released between 1:40 and 2:10 pm unless the principal/designee determines it is an emergency. Thank you for your cooperation.
