WINTER TRIMESTER

ELEMENTARY AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

Winter Trimester Runs November 5th – February 22nd, 2019

Registration is now available for the 2018-2019 Sanibel Recreation Center After School Program Winter Trimester.  The After School program runs Monday through Friday from 2:10 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. throughout the school year. It is available for children ages kindergarten through fifth grade. Sessions will require re-enrollment during each designated trimester and must be pre-purchased prior to the start of each session. For more info, call the Sanibel Recreation Center at (239) 472-0345.

TEENS AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

Winter Trimester Runs November 5th – February 22nd, 2019

Registration is now available for the new 2018-2019 Sanibel Recreation Center Teen Scene After School Program Winter Trimester.  The Teen Scene After School program runs Monday through Friday from 2:10 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. throughout the school year. It is available for children in sixth through eighth grade.  Teens will enjoy a variety of on and off property activities throughout each school week including community service opportunities. Transportation for island activities will be provided via the City Teen Scene van.  Sessions will require re-enrollment during each designated trimester and must be purchased prior to the start of each session. SWAT is a youth swim team program for ages 5 to 18 designed to improve stroke technique and to build endurance. Participants must be able to swim the length of the pool (25 yards) in order to participate. In addition to becoming members of Sanibel Water Attack Team, swimmers will get a chance to join Swim Florida for competitions. Stop by or call the Sanibel Recreation Center at (239) 472-0345 for more information on practice times and fee options.

LOGOS GO BOT ROBOT NIGHT AT SANIBEL COMMUNITY CHURCH

Logos is back in full swing this Wednesday, January 16 at Sanibel Community Church, 1740 Periwinkle Way. Join us for an evening filled with music, games, such as spoon hanging, crafts, lesson and a home style kid-friendly meal centered around a Go Bot Robot theme, which includes Chex mix nuts and bolts and root beer floats. H2O SANIBEL COMMUNITY CHURCH

All middle school and high school students are invited to attend H2O, the middle and high school youth ministry from Sanibel Community Church. Each week, high school and middle school students are challenged and sent out to live a life of purpose. Come Join us at the mobile food pack for Feed My Starving Children at SCC on Saturday, January 26 from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. For more information, contact Pastor Kevin at Kevin@sanibelchurch.com. Remember Middle school students meet from 5 to 7 p.m. and high school students meet from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Youth Center at Sanibel Community Church located on 1740 Periwinkle Way (next to Jerry’s Supermarket).

AFTER SCHOOL SCIENCE AT SANIBEL SEA SCHOOL

Sanibel Sea School will once again offer a series of after school science programs for students ages 6-13. The winter program will be about plate tectonics, and participants will investigate how our planet’s layers interact with one another to create natural structures and seismic events. Think earthquakes, volcanoes, geysers, and lots of fun experiments. Sessions are Tuesdays 1/15, 1/22, 1/29 and 2/5 from 3:30 – 5:30 PM. $20 per student per session, details and registration at sanibelseaschool.org/afterschool.
