THE SANIBEL SCHOOL MONDAY REPORTER FOR 3-20-17

CITIZENS OF THE WEEK

Students in Kindergarten and 1st Grade earn Sea Horse tickets for good behavior, helpful attitude, and an eagerness to learn. Each week we select a Sea Horse ticket winner from these classes.  These students get to come to the office and select a prize from our prize cabinet. The following students are this week’s citizens of the week: Larry Manley, Dillon Barron, Presley Hopper, and Jackson Williams. Congratulations!

FREE MICROSOFT OFFICE FOR STUDENTS

The Lee County School District offers free Microsoft 365 licenses to all enrolled students for use on their home computers and other personal devices.  For more information please visit our website:  sbl.leeschools.net on the School Info/Forms page.

WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY                                                                                                                    On Tuesday, March 21, The Sanibel School will be celebrating World Down Syndrome Day.  Since Down syndrome occurs because of an extra copy of the 21st chromosome on a baby’s DNA, every year March 21 is designated as World Down Syndrome Day.  Students are encouraged to wear “fun” socks that day.  Sea TV will be sharing information on Down syndrome to help create awareness and understanding of those with this condition.  Please help your child join in the fun that day by wearing fun socks as they learn more about Down syndrome.  For more information on the condition and how you can support people and families dealing with Down syndrome in Lee County, visit www.gigisplayhouse.com.
