Middle Grades

The Sanibel School is one of two K-8 schools in Lee County.  Six academic teachers serve approximately 150 sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students. Sanibel is dedicated to providing the opportunities of large middle schools through block scheduling, electives, Advisory, and extracurricular sports while maintaining a small, supportive community.

Every effort has been given to provide Sanibel students with educational best practices aligned to the Sunshine State Standards, to Goal Three Standards, and to research conducted and/or reported by the National Middle School Association.  Student progress can be monitored by accessing Pinnacle.

The Middle Grades Handbook has been distributed to each student as part of his or her planner and is also included here for your convenience.  The handbook has been designed to answer student and parent questions related to all facets of the middle grades' program.  If you have further inquiries or concerns, please call the school at 472-1617 or send an email to one or more of the teachers listed below.

Teacher pages have been created to help students access information from home that might be useful.
